Abstract

Smart Farming is the new revolution of science and technology in the agriculture field. Smart farming is derived from the emerging technologies such as IoT and Big Data & analytics in cultivation. The need of smart farming mainly lies in the thrust areas such as climate changes, disease detection, investigation of agriculture niche and yield predictions. These new technologiesare used in the design and development of recommender systems and decision support systems support farmers to have furtherinsightson the consequences of their decisionsin farming practices. In this paper, authors have studied and explored various applications of Data Sciencein agriculture which aimed in improvising supply-chain management and farming practices and operations and more.
