Abstract

Data transmission security deals with the secure transmission of messages to the other party. The major concern for any security mechanism is to maintain integrity, confidentiality and authenticity of messages. There have been many flaws found in data transfer mechanism because of which data transmission security has been compromised. Some applications are medical image system, law enforcement, remote sensing, military imaging. Attacks and interception of messages by the unauthorized third party leads to the compromise of confidential information. If you want to secure your data the method of doing that is by doing the encrypting of an image . One of the image encryption schemes is the one which is the bit-plane extraction. In this methodology first we take a plain image and we perform the bit level permutations on it , then the logistic maps is used to generate the random image with the help of “pseudo-random sequence”. In this project we develop a tool that can do both the encryption and decryption of the text using bit plane extraction. Original message string can received at the other end by entering the decryption key. This enhanced scheme from the general concepts like Discrete Cosine Transform(DCT) is excellent in terms of various cryptographic metrics.
