Abstract

Lung cancer is among the most perilous and life-threatening disease in the globe. The most difficult part of all types of cancer is its late diagnosis, mostly in the last stages when it cannot be cured or very difficult to be treated. However early diagnosis can enable the early start of the treatment and it can save lives to a great extent. CT scan is one of the most popular technique for Lung cancer diagnosis, although it is difficult sometime for the doctor to identify and interpret from Lung Cancer through CT Scan images, because the image is computerized, but the interpretation is manual. Therefore, computer aided mechanism for diagnosis can be helpful and assist doctor to diagnose the cancer cells in the CT scan accurately. The focus of this research is to compare various computer aided mechanisms using digital image processing and analyze them. CNN is also an area of this study, to compare it with other areas to analyze its performance.
