Dielectric & impedance spectroscopy of Zirconium modified CaBi4Ti4O15
Abstract
Due to the significant characteristic properties, perovskite structured compound is a field of interest for researcher. Zirconium modified calcium bismuth titanate, CaBi4Zr4O15, a Bismuth layered perovskite is synthesized by mixed oxide process. Room temperature XRD study confirms the formation of single-phase orthorhombic structure of the material. The surface morphology of the material is investigated by SEM micrograph. Dielectric& impedance plots as a function of frequency& temperature reveal the electrical properties of the material. Bulk resistance decreases with the increase of temperature showing negative temperature coefficient resistance i/e., NTCR behavior of the material. Nyquist plots show the existence of grain & grain boundary effect. Z ~f plots indicates the presence of relaxation time. The variation of dc & ac conductivity as a function of temperature obeys Arrhenius relation. The hysteresis curve of the sample confirms the ferroelectric property in the compound.
