Abstract

Agriculture is necessary for the purpose of growing crops. Currently, Irrigating the agriculture field is manual process it requires man power and more amount of water with more energy consumption, In General, the current irrigation systems are manually operated. In this irrigation system the most significant advantage here is its water supplied to the field and the flow of water is controlled when the water level is equal to the target level. The highlighting features of this project are analyzing the moisture content of the soil and weather condition and making use of an algorithm which is programmed into the microcontroller (arduino). The algorithm sends an alert (SMS) to the end user for water irrigation using GSM module. An automated system has been developed to optimize the water usage of sugarcane field and it will be tested in real time
