Abstract

Many researchers have conceded to upgrade the enhancement of heat transfer among in the areas of electrical and electronics equipments, central processing units (CPU), and nuclear reactors. The present task is accord with the enhancement of heat transfer using distilled water under pool boiling conditions, also the water was dispersed with 0.5 percent weight concentration of Copper (Cu) of average size 10 nm, Silver (Ag) 15nm and Carbon nano tubes (CNT) of inner diameter  8nm and outer diameter 10 nm. The heat transfer tests were performed using stainless steel tube heater of 9mm diameter and 0.5mm thick. Before the heat transfer test, to identify the size and structure of nanoparticle which affects the heat transfer,  physical characterization were conducted through Transmission electron microscope (TEM),  X ray diffraction (XRD), and Atomic force microscope (AFM). The speculative results shows the Copper nanofluids is reducing the co-efficient of heat transfer but raising the Critical heat flux(CHF) nearly 50 percent whereas Silver and CNT  were bettering the heat transfer coefficient 60 percent and 150 percent respectively.
