N-Channel and N-Interface Spectrum Aware Routing Protocols: A Survey for Wireless Mesh Network
Abstract
For Spectrum underutilization in wireless networks, cognitive radio (CR) has emerged as hopeful design to influence the highest potential of networks. Cognitive radio was introduced to deal with the problem of spectrum utilization, by opportunistically accessing the available white spaces under licensed spectrum. We are present here the state-of-art routing metrics are surveyed for wireless mesh network. Here the taxonomy for different routing metric has been introduced based on spectrum awareness. Then case study to discuss various classes of routing metric. Finally, the future research challenges are discussed to design future metrics for cognitive radio.
