Abstract

This is a fictitious case based approach to showcase the power of technology innovation to bring in optimum benefits for everyone concerned within the eco-system, whether patients, doctors, insurance companies and technology innovators.

2020 marks the launch of Peace Hospital, which is a new hospital in the city of New York at Lexington. This hospital is the brain child of an Entrepreneur with expertise in technology and believes he can leverage technology to bring in efficiency in the hospital industry to ensure patient welfare, employee efficiency and freeing up unwanted staff to increase overall profitability of the hospital. He partners with his old-time Doctor friend who becomes the head of the hospital given the vast expertise in managing various hospitals around the country. The doctor knows the punt he is taking in otherwise a successful career because his friend and entrepreneur is not only funding the project and giving his doctor friend a stake in his new venture, which is the hospital but also because the doctor knows his eccentric friend’s ability to disrupt the space due to the kind of innovation he would bring into the operation of the hospital.
