Critical Success Factors of Implementing E-Supply Chain in Indian Mechanical Sector

Abstract

IT is often stated as vital promoters for providing information distribution facility along the supply chain. Even though, manufacturing firms in all emerging countries and even in India generally facing issues in adopting e-supply chain in the absence of infrastructure & directions. This research recognized 28 CSF for implementing web enabled manufacturing e-supply chain. A questionnaire-based survey was conducted for gathering responses from the specialists in Delhi region. This research recommends a structural model to examine the impact of various critical success factors over performance measurement. The technique is based on factor analysis using SPSS and AMOS software tools. Result finding proposes the relationship and the impact of various CSFs of e-SCM issues which create significant positive (0.30) effect on performance. Result finding also suggests that critical success factors such as system alignment with business strategy, continuous communication, and developing own in-house training emerged as most relevant for e-SCM implementation.
