Abstract

Background/Objectives:This paper is to analyze the impact of cash holdings on construction safety accidents and business failures in order to utilize 'money' as a risk assessment factor
Methods/Statistical analysis:The research target is a small construction company, and the data was obtained from kscfc.Measurements were made on the isometric scale (5 intervals).
Statistical analysis was performed using Spss24.0 and Amos 22.0.Data and hypotheses were verified by using technical analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, and structural equation model.
Findings:The results are as follows. First, Cash holdingsbefore Bidding and Cash Holdings under constructionhave statistically significant impacts on construction safety accidents and business failures. Second, Construction safety accidents have a statistically significant impact on business failures. Third,Construction safety accidents partially mediate the relationship between cash holdings and business failures. Statistically, indirect effects have been verified to be significant. This result shows that 'Money' is a factor affecting construction safety accidents. It suggests that it should be managed as a hazard factor of the construction risk assessment system (KOSHA_18001).
Improvements/Applications:It is hoped that the 'Money' element will be added to the 4M - centered construction risk assessment model and that the bidding system will ensure proper construction costs.
