Parametric Optimization of Punched out Suspended Planar Folded Antenna for ISM band applications

Abstract

In this paper, parametric optimization on patch antenna which is suspended in air with the folded complementary slot suspended plate along with long central slot with a thin rectangular plate at vicinity towards centre of the substrate. The dimensions of plate is given as 22.26 mm x 22.26 mm with an height of 3.63 mm.The substrate of FR4 type with εr=4.4, h =0.1345mm, tan δ = 0.0001. The observed value exhibit the resonating frequency at 4.81 GHz, VSWR = 1.24 ≤ 2 at S11(min)= -19.39 dB with the optimized value goal setting in slot dimensions. This antenna is applicable and utilize at WLAN band of frequencies.
