Drug Convicts Treatment Model by Implementing Therapy Community in Prison

Abstract

The number of drug abuses that include needle sharing and tattooing keep on increasing. The drug addiction does not only have physical effect, but also psychological effect. The problem statement of this study is criminal sanction and drug convicts treatment. This research aims to be an empirical study and the data were collected by using survey, observation, interview, and document study method. The data were qualitatively and descriptively analyzed. The results of this study show that mental training requires treatment program including therapy community program. The existing policy should be integrated with the officer, community and the prisoner.
