Abstract

Generally there are many materials available to increase the strength of the concrete. But partially polymer is a material that used to improve the strength, it is not commonly used .Many researches have done for improving the concrete strength by using polymer.A study about compressive strength , split tensile strength and flexural strength of M20,M40,M60 with polymer impregnated concrete and steel fibre there was a comparison between PCC (Plain Cement Concrete) and (PCC + steel fibre +PIC).Polymer Impregnated Concrete is introduced in concrete by socking at atmospheric pressure using monomer. The monomer is used to replace air voids of concrete. The test for specimen is conducted for 7 days, 28 days and 90 days. Cement used OPC 53 grade, and water cement ratio is 0.45.The moulds used are prisms (500x100x100) mm, Cubes (150x150x150) mm, Cylinders (100mm in dia&200mm height) mm.
