Abstract

The ecommerce in India still remains highly underpenetrated with only 50 million of the population perform online shopping. A robust physical and digital infrastructure must be implemented, that is capable of handling the immense load placed upon it daily. One of the key challenges to overcome here is the integration of diverse array of languages in online mobile shopping applications. With the help of Natural Language Processing, the Automatic Speech Processing(ASR) machines are able to pick on the phrases and words spoken by humans while they are searching for a particular product. It aids in customizing the navigation for users who are interacting with the system using a search engine. In today’s technology-driven world, Natural Language Processing (NLP) is an endeavor to amalgamate a human feel into the internet shopping experience. It is important for ecommerce businesses to recognize and analyze the requirements as well behavior of their customer. A comprehensive review on the current development in deep learning that has presented with significant enhancement in ASR performance, alongside with the relevance of future of automatic speech processing in mobile is also presented.
