Biometric Security System for Bank Using R305 Fingerprint Sensor

Abstract

In today’s world security is one of the most important amenity. There has been various methods employed to increase the security of the system. The security system is used to keep place something in such a way that only an authorized person can use. Security is used in many place in today world be it physical security like a lock in door or a lock for a safe which store something. Also security system is used in IT sector to secure the information or data of the person. One of the most important place for the security to be established is the financial sector. As money is involved in such matter every transaction or storage of money or data require very safe and user friendly security system. One of the place using security for financial purpose is ATM. In ATMs currently we use PIN and Debit card system to identify the authorized person. But a better way to grant a security system can be to use the different traits human have in them which are unique. One of those traits is the fingerprint. In this project we are making a security system which uses the biometric information like fingerprint to identify the required person. As fingerprint is unique and doesn’t require any extra information like a PIN or password, this method is more user friendly and safe then other conventional security systems.
