THE DEMOGRAPHIC IMPACT ON CONSUMERS PERCEPTION TOWARDS GREEN CONSUMER DURABLES IN URBAN PUNJAB
Abstract
Environment is changing day by day due to economic and technical advancement. High level changes can
be seen in weather, water level and air level. Consumers are becoming aware about the environmental
degradation and alternative available to save the natural resources. This study tied to find out the
demographical impact on the consumer perception towards the green consumer durables like television,
refrigerator, air conditioner, mobile and CFL tubes and bulbs in the urban areas of Jalandhar, Punjab.
Age, income, gender and educational demographics were considered in this study. It was found that
demographically respondents have different perception towards green consumer durables.
