Abstract

Objective: to study the short-term and long-term effects of coronary artery stenting on the
functional state of the kidneys.
Materials and methods. The study included 21 patients with coronary artery disease, mean age
58.62 ± 8.26 years, who underwent coronary angiography and stenting of the coronary arteries and in
whom blood creatinine was determined initially, on the 2nd, 3rd day after endovascular intervention,
concentration N-terminal end of the brain molecule of sodium urethic peptide, uric acid, parathyroid
hormone, echocardiography (echocardiography).
Conclusion. In patients with coronary heart disease, renal dysfunction persists for 3 months
after endovascular revascularization, despite the normalization of creatinine concentration.
