Abstract

Objective: to study the clinical features of community-acquired pneumonia in patients with
chronic kidney disease. The study included 120 pneumonia patients: 40 patients had no history of renal
pathology, 80 patients suffered from chronic kidney disease (GFR for 3 months before pneumonia
developed 30-60 ml / min / 1.7 m2, Pneumonia + CKD group) Verification of the diagnosis was carried
out on the basis of chest x-ray, the formulation of the diagnosis included determining the type of
pneumonia - lobar or focal drainage.
In a comparative assessment of the X-ray picture in the studied groups, it was noted that in
patients with pneumonia on the background of CKD, lobar and focal drainage pneumonia with a large
volume of infiltrate (p <0.001) were significantly more common. In the dynamics of observation in most
patients (78 out of 120 patients, 65%) there was a positive clinical and radiological dynamics, in 20
patients (16.67%) there was no significant dynamics, and in 22 patients (18.33%) the clinical and
radiological dynamics was negative. Negative clinical and radiological dynamics were more often
observed in the group of patients in whom pneumonia developed on the background of CKD (p <0.01).
