Abstract

Due to plant and crop disease, most of the crop is spoiled and hence decline the economic growth. In order to identify infections in plant leaves, an image processing approach is implemented. This approach rely on the extraction of textural feature from the plant leave images, their segmentation and classification. A Gray-level co-occurrence matrix algorithm has been proposed for classification and identification of plant disease. The textural features are extracted from the plant images using Gray-level co-occurrence matrixalgorithm. The maximum precision value achieved by proposed algorithm is 99.46%. Similarly, the maximum recall and accuracy achieved by proposed algorithm is 98.17% and 97.70% respectively. The results were validated with existing methods.
