Abstract

The recent survey on water reports the scarcity of water due to decreased rainfall and rapid growth in population. Many cities are facing inadequate supply of water      for their daily needs due to lack of monitoring and control over supply. This paper proposes to develop embedded based digital water supply system to monitor over a water theft across different regions by recording the flow rate at user end and ensures the water purity. In order to implement the proposed system, each resident is provided with web based mobile application developed by using IoT. The web based mobile application contains present water level of the tank, through which user can request the required amount of water from the municipal authority and it also contains water flow rate at user end and the quality of water. And this system is also provided with an electrically controlled solenoid valve to supply water to required peoples. The solenoid valve is commanded by central processing unit to send the water to user and similarly to stop the supply whenever the flow rate crosses preset limit which is set by municipal authority
