GSM based fall detection for labour and elderly safety

Abstract

Unobserved human falls can be dangerous and lead to death sometimes. Fall detection is becoming a challenge in health care domain especially to the labors and for elderly. Falls always leads to serious health issues as the ageing of their physical fitness. The most common injury is fracture. An enhanced fall detection system is proposed for labor and elderly that monitors based on the body sensors. This paper to develop a novel fall detection system based on a wearable device. This system monitors the movement of people and alerts the caretaker when the fall is detected. This model uses GPS module and GSM module interfaced Arduino Uno to send message to caretaker. Accelerometer is used for fall detection.
