Assessment of Impact of Technological Transformation on Consumer Satisfaction in Retail Industry

Abstract

Technological transformation in Retail Industry is to be defined in a manner that this technological model is purely customer centric, which is adding new values to the all stake holders and changing the experience for all.

 It is not at all about buying something at a low cost and selling at different market which gives maximum price, in fact the computerization is a value addition to the industry where the information’s to be collected about customers preferences, trends and their purchase behavior and then using this information for enhancing consumer satisfaction and therefore the retailer’s marketplace.

This study is an effort to examine the factors contributing to customer satisfaction with the adoption of various in-store digital technology around the world and their effect on Indian shoppers' store choice. A study of 120 shoppers in three metro-cities of India has been selected for this purpose with a convenience sampling. Descriptive statistics and regression analysis was conducted to see the association between dependent and independent variables and many technologies have been investigated which are contributing to customer centric approach.
