Abstract
AnTelectrocardiogramT(ECG)TtestTthatTrecordsTelectricalTcardiacTactivityTcanThelpTdetectTHCMT patientsTearlyTinTtheTprocess.ThisTpaperTpresentsTaTclassificationTforTcardiovascularTpatients,whichweThaveTdevelopedTtoTidentifyTHCMTpatientsTwithT10secondTECGTsignals.WhenTtheTbulkTofTtheir heartbeatsTreportedTareTdefinedTasTHCM,TpatientsTmayTbeTlistedTasTHCM.TTherefore,TtheTundrlyingTtaskTofTtheTclassifierTwillTbeTtoTrecognizeTindividualTheartbeatsTsegmentedTasTHCMTbeatTfrom12leadTECGTsignalsTinTnonHCMTcardiovascularTpatientsWeThaveTbothTderivedTmorphologicalTandtemporalTpropertiesTfromTtheTECGTsignalsTforTheartTbeatTrecognitionTandTsomeTotherTcharacteristicsTareTalsoTidentifiedTbyTtheTuseTofTwaveletTdecomposition.TSuchTfeaturesTareTusedTtoTassessTifHCMTisTobstructiveTorTnot.TweThaveTtrainedTandTtestedTaTsupportTvectorTclassifierTtoTevaluate classificationTperformance.TWeThaveTalsoTcarriedToutTfunctionalTtestsTthroughTtheTgradualTremovtheTleastTinformativeTfeatures;TtheTresultsTshowTthatTaTselectTgroupTofThighlyTinformativeTfeatureswasTableTtoTachieveTperformanceTmeasurementsTsimilarTtoTthoseTobtainedTwithTtheTmaximumTsetTofTfeatures.
