Abstract

Various tracking mechanisms were designed, fabricated and employed for various purposes, one such isbeing tracking any person’s movements in educational institutions. This not only enhances they are safe but also provides various utility. In this work, we have designed a wireless power consuming identification mechanism using an RFID reader and a passive RFID tag, with the range of 10 cm from tag to reader. This operates at a frequency of 125 KHz and connected to 12V power supply, through battery. The output of this is connected through GSM technology which can initiate a short message to any specific predefined number, which can be customized. The whole system is Geo controlled through which the presence of any person can be monitored. This is a versatile system which can be used for tracking, movement prediction and attendance entry.
