A Two Stage Mean and Iterative Median Filter Approach for Image Denoising

Abstract

The Noise is induced in image due to natural phenomena, so many tools are developed to remove noise from image but result in blurring of image or fine edges will be blurred. Median filter is one of the well known methods of spatial filtering.  In the proposed method is a hybrid approach in which mean and median filter is applied iteratively in such a manner to get lower mean square error and to improve Picture quality.
