The Influence of Spiritual Tourism on Tourist Perceived Value and its implication on tourists' revisit intention to Bali

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to assess (1) the influence of spiritual tourism on tourist perceived value, (2) the influence of spiritual tourism on tourists' revisit intention to Bali, and (3) the influence of tourist perceived value on revisit intention to Bali. This research was conducted on all spiritual attractions such as the Hindu holy place visited by tourists, including Besakih Temple, Tanah Lot Temple, Batukaru Temple, and Goa Lawah Temple, as well as religious events such as odalan and manusa yadnya ceremonies), as well as dance sacred dance in Bali. Subjects in this study are Hindu holy places, Hindu religious ceremonies, and Hindu sacred dances.  (1) Spiritual tourism has a positive and significant effect on the revisit intention, it indicates that better Spiritual tourism developed in Bali further increases tourists' Revisit Intention to Bali. (2) Spiritual tourism has a positive and significant effect on tourist perceived value, it indicates that better spiritual tourism increases the tourist perceived value. (3) Tourist Perceived Value has a positive and significant effect on the revisit intention, it indicates higher tourist perceived values increase revisit intention. Spiritual tourism is a platform that was originally designed for self-discovery, understanding human relations with the creator, social improvement, and cultural understanding of a region. On the other hand, spiritual tourism can also provide tranquility, peace, true self-acceptance, which is a spiritual value. Therefore, this study is synthesized from the above literature by adopting three dimensions of perceived value, cultural values, tranquility, history, and religious.
