Abstract

Electronic commerce is more than just an alternative method to sustain traditional business practices but a means to expand market opportunities beyond logistical limitations. The digital economy characterizes the operation of the system under different principles. In this sector there is no such thing such as established revenue model hence an analytical framework is used to assist strategic plans. The development of this framework requires interaction between the demand side and the supply side economies. Significant fractions of the Indian population engage in local handicrafts business industry which scales across distant and disconnected parts of the country. Inaccessibility to technology and direct customer outreach often results in ill-planned production, inaccurate sales predictions and negligible income for the craftsmen-Commerce sites rely heavily on analyzing user activity data to predict customer behavior and tailor production and marketing strategies accordingly. Designing of user interface is based on Human Computer Interaction principles to ensure cognition of user's needs and experience. Proposed system aims at integrating various small and medium handicraft businesses across the nation on a single E-commerce platform using data analytic methods and Human Computer Interaction guidelines , thereby pushing technology to the workers which they earlier never had, helping them estimate risk and sales better, alongside establishing a direct business-to-customer gateway, eliminating middle men and improving profits by margins.
