Energy Efficiency in Cloud Data Centres: Review
Abstract
The resources are delivered by dynamic virtual machines (VMs) in cloud data centres (CDCs). The way the VMs assigned to PMs influences the performance of cloud applications and energy proficiency. By utilizing server migration techniques,it is feasible to migrate the VMs on from over-utilized physical machines (PMs) to under-utilized PMsachievingstable load on all PMs using virtualizationtechnology. Thisresearch article outlines the Live VM migration in the cloud environment & its applications. A review methodology is presented on VM migration approaches in CDC, based on the data collected from the Scopus database. How energy dissipation affects the efficiency of applications, hardware, and power management systemat various phases in computing systems&the significance of energy efficiency in the CDC also highlighted. Acomparative review of some VM migration techniques invirtualized cloud environment is presented as well.
