Abstract

Good Mental health is defined when a people could recognize their ability, emotional and able to handle the normal stresses of life. It is well known that people living with mental health conditions are more likely to face other physical health problems causing early mortality of 10-20 years. This issue has grab vital attention from World Health Organization to empower communities by attaining highest standard of mental health and well being. This paper intends to predict the mental health and well being indicator of young adult using interval type 2 fuzzy systems approach. In this case, an algorithm is developed to measure the factors that involve in mental health and well being conditions, by considering uncertainty issues in prediction of the indicators.  Interval Type-2 Fuzzy system with the footprint of uncertainty (FOU) linguistic variable, produce more effective result by solves the uncertainty problem better compare to others. The criteria used are base on the young adult behavior and the membership function evaluates the mental health index. The proposed algorithm produced is coded using Netbeans IDE.
