Performance Evaluation of MOS Current Mirrors
In analog circuit designing current mirror is the fundamental building block that provides biasing and can also be as current conveyors, analog filters, level shifters, loading element. Several configurations were proposed for the past few years to improve the performance. Of these active input current mirrors are widely used for high performance. In this paper various current mirror topologies are developed which allows the designers to calculate the optimal solution that best suits to a particular current source architecture. This paper presents various design techniques of MOS transistor based current mirrors.
