Abstract

The dynamics of maritime security in the 21st century are increasingly complex and difficult to predict. Illegal Fishing, piracy, and piracy, smuggling, slavery, pollution, terrorism, refugees, and illegal immigrants, to arms races that exist within the ASEAN region and from outside, threaten the solidity and sustainability of a peaceful and sovereign ASEAN community. This study aims to make an analysis and study of how the development of the ASEAN Maritime Security and Maritime Resilience which is integrated by ASEAN countries to face various challenges, threats, and disturbances of maritime security and resilience in ASEAN. Much of the Southeast Asian region is the sea so that without strong maritime resilience, ASEAN will easily be disturbed by its security stability. ASEAN solidity has been built to this day thanks to the spirit of a desire to unite and work together as a community to form an ASEAN resilience. Similarly, in building maritime resilience, closer collaboration and collaboration among ASEAN members are also needed. This research resulted in the concept of the ASEAN Political Security Community (APSC). Only with close cooperation and collaboration can ASEAN survive from the complexity of increasingly turbulent maritime security threats.
