Abstract

In the backlash of development around the decade, the railway is ubiquitous in every essence and  an important means of transport for residents globally because it provides fast and reliable transport services. The  significance of mortality of Railways brings plethora of issues involving the one  with the augmentation of  the Railway based  accidents or casualties which causes massive loss of  mass lives and dismay. An incredible statistics suggest that the around 25 million lives are lost in  the world due to railways and the kindled factors  associated  with it and majority cases occurring in India. The Railway Gate System is the major fault contributor and significantly contributing in casualties of million of lives. Around 35% of all accidents happen via gate sides of railway track which is something to discern and viewed. This project aims in collecting and sharing real time information about the railway interlocking and determining the level crossing distance of trend from  the gate and according to the situation we can close the gate or keep them succinct .By doing so, the operation of our railway system over  the country will be centralized and automatized contributing to saving the precious lives of people. IR sensors and Ultrasonic Sensors are connected to Arduino device for calculating real time distances by finding the train exact location to the gateway and processing the gate mechanism to operates automatically via motor drivers.
