Abstract

Vehicular Ad-hoc networks are a developing trend in future intelligent transportation systems. There is an increasing number of Quality of Experience (QoE) related routing protocols are available in VANETs, the Quality of Experience generally depends on MAC and physical layers. QoE is a mutated version of QoS, where it focusses more on few factors such as packet loss rate and throughput. Apart from that, congestion and traffic monitoring and re-routing the path to the next optimal way is the main objective in an Intelligent Transport System (ITS). VANETs is a wireless technology which can establish a mobile networks even in absence of a centralized architecture. Managing the QoE in VANETs is very difficult due to the movement of nodes. The dynamicity in the nodes in a cluster-based VANETs system makes the routing of data more complex and challenging compared to a typical multihop wireless network. In this paper, we proposed a new technique called cluster-based routing protocol to reduce energy consumption and to improve the Quality of experience by improving the parameters like human, system, and context influence factors.
