Abstract

Home surveillance using sensors to prevent and detect the outbreak of fire is of vital importance nowadays especially for the safety of kids and elderly people. This paper aims to design a residential fire alarm system based on wireless sensor network which involves low cost, provides mobile notification regarding gas leakage(pre fire detection) to the family member who is outside the house, with minimum delay. In this system multiple sensors are used to detect occurrence of fire like flame sensor, temperature and humidity sensor(post fire detection). The system is highly accurate and there is rare chance of false alarm. The system is developedusing NodeMCU. WiFi network is set up for sending mobile notifications.
