Abstract

Rapid increase of IoT applications poses a challenge to preserve the sensitive data during communication among the smart devices. The data communication over the internet may contain the public or private data, however to assure the data reaches the desired users a secured communication scheme is required. In this paper we are proposing a privacy preserving scheme for smart devices, by implementing the Differential Privacy along with the Directed Random Walk (DRW) and Flooding mechanism. This model jointly considers modern differential privacy techniques to address various problems and data privacy scenarios of smart devices. Meanwhile, differential privacy emerged as an efficient technique to protect the sensitive data. In order to evaluate the performance of our framework, simulations are conducted and the results represented that our design exceed other privacy mechanisms and reduce the network usage.
