Abstract

The main objective of the present article is to review the emerging concept of “High-Performance Work-System” (HPWS) and gauge its impact on the effectiveness of overall corporate performances via employee attitudinal measures. The main objective of the present research is to test the effect of HPWS best practices on the employee attitudes in a large-scale heavy industry involved in bulk manufacturing of iron & steel in the private sector. The HPWS best practices (Independent Variables) and employee attitudes (Dependent Variables) have been bundled into six major pillars with three facets for each of the variables. The descriptive statistics for each of these variables are summarized based on the data collected via survey conducted in the target company. According to the extensive review of literature, the relationship between HPWS and employee attitudes were not tested earlier for this organization and thus, it is expected that present work will be useful to understand this effect to enhance the overall corporate performance.
