Abstract

Cellular Network is approaching at fifth generation. The expectation from new generation is low latency and high reliability interaction among devices in closed proximity. Device to device communication (D2D), the new paradigm of cellular network ensures fulfilment of these expectations. In this regard optimum service discovery, resource allocation in 5G NR spectrum is an active research topic. This article investigates research updates and ongoing activities on D2D communication in the field of resource allocation and service discovery techniques. Also, an orthogonal precoding technique has been illustrated for cancelling interference during resource allocation to device to device communicating users under cellular coverage.
