Abstract

Filter plays an important role in virtually any type of radio frequency (RF)/ microwave system today. Due to the rapid development and wide spread use of various wireless communication systems, ever-more demanding requirements are posed on RF/ microwave filters smaller size, higher performance, considered necessary to fix the challenges of insufficient capacity of the various wireless systems. This paper presents a Quadband Bandpass filter based on six mode resonators, modified from a basic tri-mode resonators and a hairpin resonator. Six-mode resonator is suitable for Multiband BPFs with individually controllable passband frequencies and bandwidths. Comparisons of the simulated results are presented to verify various parameters of the resonators. The design development and performance evaluation of Quad band pass Filter covering 1.8/3.3/4.4/5.8 GHz bands by using RO4003C substrate. This Quad band pass filter used in several applications such as GSM, WiMAX, Long Distance Radio Telecommunication and ISM band.
