Loop Performance Monitoring of Shell and Tube Heat eXchanger Process
Abstract
Control loops of the process are scrutinized with the help of automatic techniques andshould be monitoredcontinuously. The tools must be capable of detecting control loop performance deprivation with their root causes for proper correction and equipment maintenance. This studymonitors two necessary directions which compriseof controller design and performance monitoring of control loops. The application considered here is a Shell and Tube Heat eXchanger (STHX) process. This work presents anoutline to overcome some executioncomplications in loop performance monitoring and its proposals for performance improvement.
