Abstract

Human body offers resistance to the flow of current. During an electric shock, a voltage will be developed along the path of flow of current through the body. This concept is used to develop a technique that can protect the human body against electric shock. The paper proposes a technique to protect human from electric shock by using a wearable wrist band. The unavailability of MCB and ELCB in transmission lines and poorly designed electric installations imposes the necessity of using this device for the safety of the society. There are fatal electric accidents happening to serviceman during maintenance due to lack of sufficient protection employed during the work. This dangerous situation can be overcome by using a simple and fast-acting wireless wrist band cum relay technology ensuring that the person wearing the device will be protected
