Design of Monopole Textile U-Slot Antenna for ISM Band and Wi-Fi Applications
Abstract
A textile monopole antenna is designed for ISM band operations. The primary requirement for textile antennas is flexible construction materials which includes fabrics with planar structure. A denim textile is used as substrate with dielectric constant (ɛr =1.7). The proposed antenna is designed using two U slots (U and inverted U) with defected ground structure with conducting fabric for obtaining multiband frequencies such as 2.4GHz, 3GHz, 5GHz . Exceptional values for directivity, gain, input reflection co efficient and VSWR are obtained with miniaturized antenna dimensions 38 x 20 x 4.07 mm3. The antenna parameters are tested for Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi) application is analyzed by Computer Simulation Technology (CST) Tool.
