Abstract

The aim of the research is for civil servants to have the primary function of providing excellent service to the community and to be demanded to have high performance to create a positive image in the eyes of the public. The research sample of 265 civil servants in the Banyuwangi Regency Government. The study uses descriptive statistical analysis with structural equation modeling (SEM) and multiple test models. The results showed that the Compensation variable did not affect the Organizational Commitment and Performance of Civil Servants of the Banyuwangi Regency Government. Motivation and Spiritual Intelligence variables significantly influence Employee Performance through the variable Organizational Commitment. The variable Organizational Commitment has a significant effect on the Performance of Civil Servants in the Banyuwangi Regency Government. The results of the study using the Sobel Test are Organizational Commitment as an intervening variable unable to significantly influence or mediate the relationship of the influence of Compensation on Performance and also the influence of Motivation on the Performance of Civil Servants of the Banyuwangi Regency Government. However, other results show that Organizational Commitment is proven to significantly mediate the relationship between the influence of Spiritual Intelligence variables on the Performance of Civil Servants of the Banyuwangi Regency Government.
