Abstract

In the research, the plasma parameters of pure selenium were studied by means of the optical emission technique (OES). The plasma was generated from the laser interaction with the solid target, calculating the electron temperature through the Boltzmann plot equation, the electron density by exposing Stark broadening, and the energy effect on the density Emission lines and study of the structural properties of the thin films prepared by the method of pulse deposition in a vacuum. The room temperature count on the glass bases of pure selenium and using the technique of dental X-ray diffraction shows that it possesses a multi-crystalline structure of the hexagonal crystal system with the preferred direction of growth (101). AFM measurements became clear as the laser energy increased, the mean square root and the mean roughness increased, while the average diameter decreased
