A Survey of Various Applications of SVD in ECG Signal Processing and Hardware
Abstract
In this paper, authors have surveyed various applications of Singular Value Decomposition techniques in ECG data compression, Data extraction and compression, ECG data encryption, removal of motion artifacts by taking measurements of wireless ECG and hardware implementation of SVD.Singular Value Decomposition is matrix based approach in which the extraction of significant feature components of signal is done by decomposing the signal into various set of basic patterns and associated scaling factors. The interesting and important characteristic of this SVD technique is that few numbers of singular values contains most of the signal information. By taking advantage of this one can reconstruct signal with necessary parameters for analysis.
