DESIGNING OF SR AND D FLIP FLOP USING REVERSIBLE LOGIC
In the past few years the demand for the lower power devices has increased drastically.The problem ofpower dissipation can be reduced by the usage of reversible logic circuits..Normally, the reversible logic operations dissipate zero heat and they can't erase any information. All the operations in the reversible logic circuits are carried out in backward manner so that we can regenerate the inputs from the outputs. The basic elements for storage in circuits are flip-flops. Data is stored in the form of binary values '0's and '1's in flip-flops. This paper deals with the designing of SR flip-flop and D flip-flop. The number of gates required to design SR flip-flop and D flip-flop by using reversible logic are very less when compared to the existing module. The designs are simulated using Mentor Graphics tool at 130nm process technology.
