Visual Data Edit Identification Using Adaptable Hash Design
Abstract
Following the shift from an industrial based economy to an information based economy, the medium of communication has also dramatically changed. The digital era uses computers and other technology for communication, these are quite cheaper and quicker than the old ones. The Digital Era is recognized as the time where information is readily available, easily accessed and shared among one another. Even though the communication in this age is quicker and information is accessible to all within a fraction of second there still are high possibilities that this data or information can be changed or tampered by a third party specifically when it comes to images. Images sent through a network can easily be meddled with or photoshopped by anyone. After immense development and research in digital payment methodology, blockchain technology gradually came into existence. Blockchain technology extends its use in the field of data encryption and sharing, Medical Science, music, personal verification and so on and so forth. In order to protect the image from being tampered and to identify the part of the image that had been photoshopped or edited we have proposed a system that makes use of the hash function which is widely used in blockchain.
