Evolving, Transforming and Re-Inventing Classroom Environment for Transformed Learning

Abstract

This work argues for a transformation from the current learning environments. The evolving research drives home the point that proactive role in education seems more effective than to just listen to information that is being delivered. The National Academy of Sciences in its study published in 2014 had compared those students from schools and the ones who are doing their undergraduate courses in Math and Science, on how they fare during conventional teaching methodologies that include lecturing and active learning. The result found that during active learning the scores averaged improved to about 6%, whereas in the conventional teaching practice, shockingly there were more likely failures which was 1.5% more. The present study finds that teachers are much interested in the current scenario but also in the upliftment of state of education in general in the future. Classroom based teaching and learning is expected to evolve as well as to deliver references to this study.
