Performance and Estimation Error Analysis for L-TAS/SC Receiver over KG Fading Channels.
Abstract
Diversity combining is an important technique to reduce the effects of fading. But it is observed that a channel with no error is possible to obtain in practical situations. A perfect channel estimate does not exist in reality so it is essential to consider an imperfect channel estimation (ICE) while carrying out the channel analysis. The average bit error rate (ABER) has been presented for arbitrary branches like Selection Combining (SC) and Transmit Antenna Selection (TAS/SC) receiver with consideration of ICE over Generalized K (KG) fading channels. It is observed that the (KG) fading model shows best performance over the Nakagami-m fading model and it has been realized as one of special case. The numerical results has been simulated and verified by using Monte-Carlo method.
