Abstract

In MobileAd-hoc network, it's a very challenging task to identify the wormhole attack between source and destination during data transmission. To identify the wormhole attack, nodes must be equipped with a robust routing technique, good judgment process, and mobile node along with GPS. In recent past, solutions to various problems in MANET have been proposed, emulating human immune system. To mitigate wormhole attack we use the concept of artificial immune system based adaptive wormhole detection technique. In the proposed work, two parameters were taken into consideration i.e. sequence number of the packet and labelling of the node on cooperation/trust. The proposed solution considers the maximum end-to-end delay, packet delivery ratio, and route length to identify a wormhole attack.
