Midwifery Service on Adolescent’s Unwanted Pregnancy: Scoping Review
Abstract
Unwanted pregnancy is the case which increases every year let alone it occurs on adolescents. The review results conducted about the midwife practice in the service towards pregnant adolescents with unwanted pregnancy found that they experience poor service during the care given because of some barriers in which the midwife could not maximize the care which should be given. The determination of this study is to study the method or care model conducted by the midwife in the guidance, describing the encouragement done by midwife during the guidance, elaborating the midwife’s barriers in doing the guidance, and analyzing the expectation of adolescents who experience unwanted pregnancy. This research used scoping review method, the framework used was PICO, the search strategy used 4 databases such as Science Direct, Whiley, Pubmed, and Proquest. Out of 593 articles, 10 articles were obtained based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria with the articles obtained such the midwife model in accompanying the pregnant adolescents, the encouragement given by the midwife during the guidance, and barriers encountered by the midwife in guiding the adolescents.
